Die Insel Hiiumaa ist die zweitgr\u00f6\u00dfte der 1.500 Inseln Estlands und erstreckt sich etwa 70 Kilometer von West nach Ost. Die wichtigsten Highlights der Insel k\u00f6nnen w\u00e4hrend unserer 1-t\u00e4gigen Tour besichtigt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sehenswertes auf der Insel Hiiumaa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Von Tallinn aus fahren wir mit dem Bus oder Auto 100 km nach Westen und erreichen die kleine, gem\u00fctliche Stadt Haapsalu, die reich an historischen Ereignissen ist. Bei der Fahrt durch die Stadt sehen wir das Dampflokmuseum und das Holzgeb\u00e4ude des Bahnhofs, das im 19. Jahrhundert speziell f\u00fcr den Zug des russischen Zaren gebaut wurde. Nach weiteren 5 Kilometern erreichen wir den Hafen von Rohukula, wo eine F\u00e4hre zur Insel auf uns wartet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Entfernung zwischen dem Festland und der Insel Hiiumaa betr\u00e4gt weniger als 20 km, aber die Fahrt \u00fcber den Kanal dauert etwa 2 Stunden. Unterwegs k\u00f6nnen wir die Aussicht auf das Meer genie\u00dfen, im Caf\u00e9 an Bord fr\u00fchst\u00fccken oder mit Wi-Fi online gehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf der Insel angekommen, begeben wir uns zum Herrenhaus, das der Familie Ungern-Setrnberg geh\u00f6rte, der die Insel geh\u00f6rte. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/discover-estonia.dezajno.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/pexels-lauri-poldre-16986457.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/discover-estonia.dezajno.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/pexels-lauri-poldre-16986457.webp 640w, https:\/\/discover-estonia.dezajno.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/pexels-lauri-poldre-16986457-200x300.webp 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Eines der Mitglieder dieser Familie wurde im 18. Jahrhundert zum Seer\u00e4uber und wurde daf\u00fcr zu einer lebenslangen Haftstrafe verurteilt. Als N\u00e4chstes besuchen wir das ehemalige Haus des Inselbesitzers mit einem sch\u00f6nen Blumengarten, einer Kirche und einem Denkmal f\u00fcr den ber\u00fchmten estnischen K\u00fcnstler Johan Koler, der in dieser Siedlung geboren wurde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unser n\u00e4chster Halt wird ein Meteoritenkrater sein, der vor etwa 400 Millionen Jahren entstanden ist. Wir k\u00f6nnen den Ort des Einschlags noch immer in der Landschaft sehen. Der Krater tr\u00e4gt den Namen der Hauptstadt von Hiiumaa - der Stadt Kardla, wo wir einige Minuten sp\u00e4ter ankommen werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kardla ist die wichtigste und einzige Stadt auf der Insel. Sie werden \u00fcberrascht sein, wie ruhig und still kleine estnische St\u00e4dte sein k\u00f6nnen. Das Leben hier scheint sich zu verlangsamen, und auch wir fallen darauf herein und fahren langsamer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aber unsere Reise geht weiter, und nach einigen Kilometern erreichen wir den Leuchtturm von Tahkuna. Dieser 42 Meter hohe wei\u00dfe Turm ist der h\u00f6chste Leuchtturm in Estland und einer der h\u00f6chsten an der Ostsee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Estnische Leuchtt\u00fcrme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Leuchtt\u00fcrme von Hiiumaa - Tahkuna, Kopu und Ristna - sind die einzigen Leuchtt\u00fcrme in Estland, die f\u00fcr Besucher ge\u00f6ffnet sind. Und was f\u00fcr eine Aussicht von dort oben!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unser n\u00e4chster Halt ist der Kopu-Leuchtturm - der \u00e4lteste Leuchtturm der Welt, der seit 1531 in Betrieb ist. Wir klettern auf den Turm und setzen unseren Weg fort, nachdem wir einen Panoramablick genossen haben. In einer halben Stunde fahren wir auf den Fox's Hill - den h\u00f6chsten Punkt der Insel Hiiumaa. Dieses St\u00fcck Land war das erste, das sich aus dem Grund des alten Meeres erhob.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ein weiterer Halt - Mittagessen. Im Schatten von... dem Leuchtturm! Die Tische und St\u00fchle des Caf\u00e9s stehen direkt unter dem roten Turm des Leuchtturms von Ristna. Hier werden wir hausgemachte Speisen genie\u00dfen und es wird m\u00f6glich sein, auf den Leuchtturm hinaufzusteigen und die Umgebung mit einem Fernglas mit einer Aussicht von 20 Kilometern zu beobachten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach dem Mittagessen werden wir das Meer und den Wacholderwald genie\u00dfen. Wir wandern entlang der Halbinsel, die der lokalen Legende nach von Leiger, dem riesigen H\u00e4uptling und W\u00e4chter der Insel Hiiumaa, geschaffen wurde.
